Scott Barry Kaufman is Scientific Director of The Imagination Institute(link is external) in the Positive Psychology Center at the University of Pennsylvania. Kaufman investigates the development and measurement of imagination, and the many paths to greatness . He has six books, including Ungifted: Intelligence Redefined and The Philosophy of Creativity(link is external)(with Elliot Samuel Paul). Kaufman is also co-founder of The Creativity Post Kaufman completed his doctorate in cognitive psychology from Yale University in 2009 and received his masters degree in experimental psychology from Cambridge University in 2005, where he was a Gates Cambridge Scholar

Mary Helen Immordino-Yang is a neuroscientist and human development psychologist. In her work she studies the neural, psychophysiological and psychological bases of emotion, social interaction and culture and their implications for development and schools. A former junior high school teacher, Mary Helen earned her doctorate at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education. She is an Assistant Professor of Education at the USC's Rossier School of Education and Assistant Professor of Psychology at the Brain and Creativity Institute. She's also the inaugural recipient of the Award for Transforming Education through Neuroscience.
